House Rules

These house rules are standard practice for short term vacation rentals and were created for your health and safety and that of future guests. Absolutely enjoy the space but please be respectful of the environment and our neighbors. EXTRA GUESTS- The space you have booked is for four people additional overnight guests are not permitted. QUIET HOURS- Please keep noise to a minimum after 10PM and before 7AM. DAMAGED PROPERTY- Accidents happen but if anything is damaged during your stay, please let me know so that I can address it prior to the next guest. You may be charged for property damages incurred during your stay as per the rules of Airbnb, VRBO and the rental agreement. CHECK-IN/ CHECK-OUT- Please respect check-in and check-out times. The cleaners will arrive just after check out to prepare the house for the next guest. Please leave the house neat and free of garbage on your departure; if a greater cleaning service is required, then an extra fee may be charged. Prior to departure, please review the check out instructions listed later in this guide. CHILDREN- This is a family-oriented neighborhood and child friendly home; however children and infants must be under active supervision by a parent or guardian, at all times. PET POLICY- Up to 2 well behaved pets may be allowed with pre-approval and an additional pet cleaning fee. Please be sure to clean after your pet. Our COA only allows 2 pets per cottage. SMOKING- To maintain a fresh and healthy environment, smoking is not allowed in the house. Guests will be charged for additional cleaning in the event that the house is smoked in. ILLEGAL ACTIVITIES & DRUGS- Illegal activity and substances are not allowed in the home. If guests are suspected of carrying and/or using illegal drugs of any kind, the authorities will be engaged, and GUESTS WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY. PARTIES- Parties are not allowed on the property. In fact, city rules won’t allow it and we could lose the ability to host future guests. If you do host a party, you are responsible for extra cleaning charges and in the unfortunate event of disruptions alerting neighbors, GUESTS WILL BE ASKED TO VACATE THE PROPERTY IMMEDIATELY. PARKING- Two covered parking spaces are available. Please don’t park blocking any of our neighbors' driveways. Note: The house has cameras on the front porch and parking area of the house. At The Pelican's Nest, you'll be a stone's throw away from the charm of Pass Christian's downtown area. Take a brief 5-minute walk to the beach or explore an array of unique shops and delightful restaurants. With a different restaurant within walking distance every night, your culinary options are vast. For a change of scenery, consider a day trip to the nearby towns of Bay St. Louis, Long Beach, Gulfport, Biloxi, and Ocean Springs.

Guest Access

You’ll have the entire cottage to yourself. Entry is secure—codes are changed between each guest for your safety. While the home is fully independent, it shares exterior stairs with the neighboring cottage. The peaceful neighborhood atmosphere makes this a great place to slow down and settle in.

Caroline's place is absolutely beautiful. It was the perfect amount of space for family of four. The entire cottage was stocked the essentials (paper towels, toilette paper and she even left a few bottles of water). The bathroom had more thank enough linens available for us. We really enjoyed our time and my children felt right at home. The entire experience felt romantic. The cottage is in a great location making it walkable to many local businesses. The community is picturesque and everyone is very friendly. Long Beach, Biloxi and Gulfport are all a quick drive away, and if you really want to be a road warrior New Orleans is a bit further of a drive but doable. As a host California is awesome. She responds quickly and is very friendly. She really wanted us to enjoy her place and we could tell she cares about the property. If you long to experience some authentic Southern Charm book this place, it won't let you down.

We had the pleasure of staying at Caroline’s beautiful cottage last week and we truly enjoyed our time there! We had plenty of space as a family of four. The cottage was so very clean and peaceful! We enjoyed the shops and food places that were within walking distance of the cottage. We enjoyed visiting the beaches in the area, watching the sunsets and the aquarium nearby was fabulous! Can’t wait to go back!

This cottage was the perfect place to stay in Pass Christian! The location was perfect and convenient to restaurants and shops downtown. The cottage was spotless and stocked with all of the basic amenities you may need for your stay. Caroline was an amazing host who replied to any questions quickly and gave recommendations for the area. I would stay here again!

Wonderful place to get away for a few days, or a few weeks beautiful home with covered carport parking. Very clean upon arrival. New appliances and fixtures and updates. Located five minute walk from the beach and the town square of Pass Christian. Already considering our next stay at the same location. Would highly recommend. Great value for the money.

The cottage was a perfect spot to stop and relax with my husband and baby for a couple days for a little getaway from the hustle and bustle. The restaurants are amazing and close by! The cottage was cozy and clean and had plenty of linens, we loved sitting on the porch and taking in the quiet of the community and beautiful scenery.

Caroline’s place was just as described and in a great location. I walked my dog in the neighborhood and to downtown from the cottage. Caroline was super responsive and extremely pleasant! I hope to return when I have more time to spend in The Pass!

Our second time staying in two months! It’s officially our “go to” spot on the coast. I don’t remember what I said in my last review, but all of that plus more. I woke up each morning to take the pup on a walk. It’s such a safe neighborhood and everyone we met was so friendly. It’s the perfect location to relax and walkable to so many places. Just a few minutes of a beachside drive and you can be at casinos or anything else the coast has to offer. Caroline goes above and beyond to make it feel like home away from home! You will want to come right back like we did!

Adored this little cottage. Perfect place for a peaceful relaxing vacation. Perfectly situated close to beach and many places to visit nearby. Thanks for the great book of recommendations, the spotless accommodations and the wonderful hospitality. We will definitely be back!
